Complainant: Vehicle Sales Authority of BC

Licensee/Unlicensed person:

Wild Grizzly Transport Ltd., Pasquale Zampieri, and Jennifer Aiken

Issues:

The VSA asserted that it had incurred $11,383.61 in costs, related to the investigation of Wild Grizzly Transport Ltd., Pasquale Zampieri, and Jennifer Aiken.
Wild Grizzly Transport Ltd. and Pasquale Zampieri requested that:
o No investigative costs be assessed;
o The compliance order be rescinded;
o They be allowed to apply for a wholesaler licence.

Outcome:

The Registrar found that the VSA’s investigative costs were reasonable and justified.
The Registrar found that Wild Grizzly Transport Ltd. and Pasquale Zampieri were unreasonable with respect to their approach to the assessment of costs.
The Registrar will issue a compliance order requiring Wild Grizzly Transport Ltd. and Pasquale Zampieri to pay $11,383.91 in costs.
The Registrar found that there was no evidence of legal or hearing costs.
The Registrar reiterated the existence of his prior compliance order.
The Registrar declined to address Wild Grizzly Transport Ltd.’s and Pasquale Zampieri’s request regarding obtaining a wholesaler licence.
